Amasa, New Town sail to league final

Amasa and New Town have sailed to the 2013-2014 Brikama summer biggest football league final after winning their semi-final ties at the West Coast Region’s biggest football arena, Brikama Mini Stadium.

Amasa advanced to the final following their 3-2 post-match penalty shootout win over Sky Power in a tightly contested semi-final, after the regulation time failed to produce a winner.

New Town progressed to the league final following their 4-3 penalty shootout win over Borderline in a tricky semi-final tie, after the normal time failed to produce a winner.

Amasa will now rub shoulders with New Town in the 2013-2014 Brikama summer biggest football final showpiece, whose date of play will be announced later.

In a similar development, reigning super nawettan champions Brikama have started intensive training ahead of the country’s community biggest bonanza better known as Super Nawettan zonal football competition at the Brikama Mini Stadium.

Brikama beat Bakau 3-2 to clinch their first-ever super nawettan zonal football competition after several years of trophy less.
