Alleged theft case progresses

The case of stealing by clerk or servant involving one Musa Jarju continued recently at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

The fifth prosecution witness (PW5), Ebrima Solo Camara, told the court that he works at General Supply Company as a driver and that he recoganised the accused as the marketing manager of the said company.

He said that between February and May 2011, he went with the accused to deliver supply and they took the supply to Alvihag Supermarket at Westfield, Today Mini Market and other places.

According to him, when the supplies were delivered, the accused would go back and collect monies from the people they took the supplies as a marketing manager.

He added that he was called by the general manager of the said company asking him where he went with the accused person to deliver the goods and he told him the places they went. He added that the manager told him that they should not have delivered to those places.

Hearing continues on 14 February 2012.
