Alleged attempted felony case progresses

The case of attempt to commit a felony involving one Alhagie Jahateh continued recently at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

Adama Bah testified as the first prosecution witness and told the court that he recognized the accused and on 5 January 2012, he was at his mechanic garage.

He said he was called by a woman by the name Bintou Suwareh for help that she had caught a thief who was attempting to jump into their garden.

Bah said the complainant’s garden was near his garage, adding that he went to the scene and met the accused apprehended by the gardeners.

He adduced that the accused was subsequently taken to Kanifing Estate Police Station where his statement was recorded.

The case was adjourned till 15 February 2012.
