The promoted Africell FC enjoyed a narrow one-nil win over Serrekunda East to snatch their second win in the GFA Second Division League Championship, which is only two weeks old.

The Bakau outfit began the campaign with an impressive 1-nil victory against Tallinding United, which has moved them to the top of the able on 6 points in two league matches.

They became the only team in the league so far to collect two straight wins and are hugely tipped to be real title contenders this season.

Latrikunda United who played a goalless draw against most fancy Young Africans side in the opening game of the league secured their first win following a resounding 2-nil win over Nema United, who failed to snatch a single point so far.

Lamin United were held to a 1-1 draw against Serrekunda United at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium on Friday, to collect two points in two matches after another stalemate result against Serrekunda East who entertained them to a goaless draw in the Week One fixtures, a week ago.

Young Africans who are widely regarded as one of the title challengers to win the league continue to register a disappointing start to the season after another goal-less draw against a lowly rated Banjul United.

The draw only gave Coach Amat Cham and the last year's FA cup winners only two points in two league matches.

Tallinding United who has got-off to a dismal start to the season with a 1-nil defeat to in-form Africell drew nil-nil against Flamemins at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on Saturday.

Matches in the second division league resumes this weekend.
