Abdoulie Jatta Named Best Player in Zonal Championship

The champions of the 2008 Zonal championship Bakau, have also grabbed the best player award of the tourney through its player Abdoulie Jatta.

Jatta put in a spectacular performance in the championship and proved to be a very solid player. This aided him in succeeding in winning one of the most important awards in the tournament.

Speaking to Pointsports after receiving the best player award Abdoulie Jatta, expressed delight to receive the award and commended his coaches, the Bakau Zonal Sports Committee and the fans for their contributions to a success championship.

He stated that he is always ready to serve his locality when they need his services and expressed determination to do his level best by  training hard so that he can become a professional player in the  near future.

When asked for his reaction to the award, the mid-fielder said, "I deserve to be the best player of tournament because I have always scored vital goals for our side that led to our winning of the trophy for the second time".

He hailed president Jammeh for sponsoring to tourney which he said will go a long way in improving and developing Gambian football. He also hailed GFA for their wonderful contribution towards the development of football in The Gambia and urged them to keep up the momentum.

The best player awarded is sponsored by The Gambian Community residing in the United Kingdom.
