Amie Jallow, a 35-year-old woman residing in Paleng Fula in Upper Baddibu, is seeking sponsorship for overseas treatment.

According to her medical report, Amie is suffering from ovary carcinoma, which is not treatable in the country as at now.

According to Samba Jallow, an uncle to Amie, who walked into our offices recently, the patient has been suffering from the disease since last year.

He said it came to their notice this year when he took her to RVTH in Banjul for examination where it was discovered that she needs to go for overseas treatment.

He added that they later proceeded to Dr Jones of Fajara Medical Centre who wrote a referral for them to meet one Dr Abdoul Aziz Kasse in Senegal for treatment.

Samba therefore seized the opportunity to appeal to the Gambia president, the private and public sectors, individuals and good Samaritans both in and out of the country to come to their aid.

Meanwhile, anyone who is willing to help this patient can reach the family via (00220) 7146644 or 9812601 or better still via email: thepoint13@yahoo.com.
