The President of The Gambia Football Association, Mr. Seedy MB Kinteh, has vowed that any Gambian willing to go to Senegal to support the Senior national team will be in safe hands. He said  every thing is in place  for  Scorpions final group 6 game   with the Teranga Lions of Senegal scheduled for the  second weekend of October.

Mr. Kinteh made these statements in an interview with Pointsports after the Scorpion's  brilliant performance against Liberia over the weekend.

President Kinteh said," Gambians going to Senegal will be in safe hands and nothing will happen to our fans and the players."

According to the GFA Prexy, "the problem between The Gambia and Senegal was caused by former Senegalese federation  and not the players nor their fans. He pointed out that "now that the problem is been solved between the two federations we will prepare our supporters to go and support and everybody who wants to go and support  The Gambia can go and support as every thing is in place."

Seedy further said, "I don't think we will have a test game before we meet Senegal because of the short time but the coach is working to have one in Belgium around November and as of now we are waiting for him to give us the names of players he wants to invite for the game against Senegal so that we can prepare before the game," he concluded.
