Magistrate John Njie of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently deported one Inacio Ciatano to his native country of Guinea Bissau for entering The Gambia without passport or permit.
According to the particulars of the offence, between June and July 2008 the deportee entered The Gambia without passport or permit.
He admitted the charge and was subsequently sentenced accordingly.
In a separate development one Musa Sabally of Sanyang was also recently convicted and sentenced to three years imprisonment for the offence of assault, causing actual bodily harm.
