The Governor of the North Bank Region, Mr. Edward Seckan, recently presented a cheque for D10, 000,000 to Gamwater for the North Bank Region Water Project.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Governor Seckan said that the project will cover Kerewan and Saba Suwaneh Kunda.
He expressed his office's readiness to provide quality social services to the people of the North Bank Region.
For his part, the director of water resources, Nusman Jarju, said water is significant in human lives. He advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the project.
Lamin Ceesay, the chairman of Kerewan Area Council, hailed the governor's office for their tremendous contribution to the development of the region. He urged Gamwater, the contractors, to finish the work on time.
