Muslim Hands The Gambia last week distributed 100 bags of sugar and 20 bags of rice to the Muslim Communities within the Kanifing Municipal Council and Western Region.

Speaking in an interview with The Point yesterday, Ousman Bojang, senior project manager with Muslim Hands, said the sugar was meant to assist the Muslim community within the Holy Month of Ramadan especially the needy.

He stated that the 20 bags of rice were also distributed to the Muslim Community in Sallikenne in Central Badibu, noting that the distribution of such items is part of the annual activities of their organisation.

Mr. Bojang pointed out that during the Ramadan they will also conduct IFTAR in Mosques within KMC and Western Region and all this is geared towards assisting the needy who cannot afford to provide the means of breaking their fast.
