Bench Warrant Against A Suspect

The Bundung Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate B.O Jobe, recently issued an arrest warrant against the accused, one Alhagie Sowe or his surety.

The issuance of a bench warrant against the accused was as result of an application made by the police prosecutor on the grounds that the accused had consistently been absent from court.

It will be recalled that the accused, Alhagie Sowe, was on the 21stJuly 2008 arrested at Tallinding as he represented himself as a police officer to Musa Jawo and Jai Gibba.

The case had since been adjourned until the 25thof August 2008.
