Suwaibou who is a 100 and 200 meters distance runner has met the qualifying time of 10.7 in 100m and 21.6 in 200m therefore giving him the automatic qualification to represent The Gambia in the junior championship.
According to information received from The Gambia Athletics Association, Suwaibou is travelling to the Championship unaccompanied by any official. This is linked to lack of adequate funds by GAA.
Suwaibou's trip was made possible through the International Association of Athletics, who provided his ticket which does not cater for any official.
