The Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mr. Mousa Gibril Bala Gaye, last Friday inaugurated the new multi-million Dalasi MJ Finance Bureau de Change. Situated at No. 2 Williams Street in Banjul, MJ Finance, which has been providing services for the past 22 years, has other branches at Albert market in Banjul, Senegambia, West Field and Kololi Casino.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Alhagie Morr Jobe, Proprietor of MJ Finance Bureau de Change, commended customers for patronising his firm and assured them of quality standards at all times.
According to Mr. Jobe, his motivation is driven by President Jammeh's call for all and sundry to contribute to national development, particularly in the area of infrastructure development. He expressed optimism that MJ Finance is here to ensure easy and affordable transactions.
In his speech on the occasion, Mr. Mousa Bala Gaye, Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, expressed delight at the inauguration of the new headquarters which, according to him, will contribute greatly to the economy of the country. He described the move by MJ Finance boss as a clear manifestation of true patriotism.
Also present on the occasion were Mrs. Fatou Lamin-Faye, Secretary of State for Basic and secondary education, Mrs. Nancy Njie, Secretary of State for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Bamba Saho, Governor of Central Bank of The Gambia, Mr. Samba Faal, Mayor of Banjul, and a cross section of the community.
