The police in Brikama recently arrested seven people for allegedly being in possession of a large quantity of fake gold dust, this paper has been reliably informed.

The police intercepted the vehicle in which they were travelling.

A police source revealed that the purported culprits are two Gambians, two Seirra-Leoneans, two Senegalese nationals, and one Guinean citizen.

Their names are yet to be disclosed because of fear that releasing their names now could tamper with the ongoing investigation.

The source revealed that the seven suspects had already been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Banjul since last Friday, where they are currently held in custody until the police finish their investigation.
