Friday, June 27, 2008

The alleged robbery case that reportedly happened between the GGC depot and Palm Grove Hotel on the busy Banjul/

Serekunda Highway
has now become a subject of litigation.

Modou Ceesay, a Banjul man, will be tried by the Banjul Magistrates' Court for his suspected role in the alleged robbery.

Modou has been charged with violently robbing one Ebrima Jallow of his mobile phone. He is alleged to have tethered Jallow before forcefully taking his phone valued at D2000.

He denies any involvement in the alleged robbery before being given bail at the tune of D2000 with other conditions attached.
