The Gambia Football Association Regional first division league will soon commence a female first division outfit for the first time at regional level.
According to Alhagie Marong Regional League co-ordinator, the tournament will be a three-week affair, with four matches to be played on a weekly basis during weekends.
He said eight teams are currently lined up for the league which is expected to start soon.
The teams are divided into two groups. Group A features Rising Stars, Waterman, Bansang United and Young Stars.
Jah Oil are placed in group B along side Tendaba Camp, Chakubantang and Jalikasa.
Meanwhile, the in the male regional first Division league, the last matches of week five of the first round will be played between Water man and Adwac, while Brikama Ba will take on Nuimi.
