Madina Salam Embarks on Cleansing Exercise

The people of Madina Salam in Kombo South recently embarked on a massive cleansing exercise in the village. Speaking to The Point, the chairman of the Madina Salam development committee, Mr. Lamin Saidy, said environmental sanitation is very significant in the lives of human beings. He stated his belief that a clean environment promotes health and long life. He further stated that he considers environmental sanitation to be the responsibility of every citizen. "This kind of cleansing exercise will be organised here every three months," he said. He finally thanked the youth of Madina Salam for their work, dedication and commitment to the exercise.
