22 Graduate at Banutu Business College

After successful studies in the field of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing and Sales, Management Information systems, Economics, Human Resource Development 22 students recently graduated at Banutu Business College (BBC).

Speaking at the graduation ceremony at the College campus in Lamin, the proprietor of the college, professor Michael Banutu Gomez (PhD), described the event as historic as well as significant for the country.

He revealed that the college was established in August 18th 2007 to provide quality education in The Gambia in order to support vision 2020. He also said that the BBC  is actively involved in academic research in the area of student intrests. He stated that courses at the BBC are based on international higher standards and that anyone who attends the college will have their qualifications recognised all over the world.

The college is also planning to provide a bachelor degree programme from September of this year and by September of next year they will be providing masters degrees.

Hillary Johnson the director of BBC urged the graduating students to use their skills and knowledge to render services to the nation.

The guest speaker at the occasion was Lamin Gaye who was deputising for the managing director of Eco Bank. He said, "as you graduate it is not the end of your life but the beginning of a new life." He further advised them to be active in envisioning a new future.

Mr. Barry Saidy the president of the BBC students union spoke on the importance of good leadership. He finally advised the graduates to cultivate the right attitude of hard work and discipline in all their endevours.
