After a dramatic performance in Congo by the former U20 team, the newly formed Gambian U20 team under the guidance of the Italian born coach, Mr. Lorenzo Rubinace, has started training today the 6th May 2008, as preparation for the CAF U20 youth championship qualifying rounds.
In a special interview with Pointsports the newly appointed head coach of the Gambia national U20 team, Lorenzo Rubinace, said that "37 players have been invited for training and from there I will make my final selection of an 18-man squad and I am confident that the Gambia national U20 team will perform to expectation with the help of my technical staff."
