Lawyer Lamin Jobarteh, the defence counsel for Journalist Fatou Jaw Manneh, has told the court that after carefully reflecting on the evidence presented by the state witnesses, he has considered it fitting and most appropriate for his client not to give evidence. He told the court that he would prefer to proceed to address the court.
When the case was called yesterday, Lawyer Jobarteh advanced that there is no need for his client to give evidence. As a result, both the state and defence counsels agreed to submit written addresses before the next adjourned date.
Meanwhile Magistrate Jawo adjourned the case to Monday, June 23rd for adoption of the addresses.
Fatou Jaw Manneh has been standing trial for alleged sedition.
