The president of Barrow Kunda Beakanyang Kafo Mr Tumani Danjo has appealed to Government, NGOs and philanthropists to help his organisation in carrying out its set objectives. Speaking to The Point recently, Mr. Danjo said his organisation is currently implementing many projects but they are all self-help initiatives. They include the fencing of Barrow Kunda Lower Basic School, Orphans Cares Project and the clearing of its farm is also in high gear. Mr. Danjo thanked the board, volunteers and leadership of Beakanyang for their selfless service to the organisation. "As you can see implementing a huge project like these is not an easy task. Therefore we are soliciting support from all well-wishers to complement our efforts," he said. Danjo further justified their purpose of going back to the land. Thus to answer to the call of our president for people to go back to the land. "We can use the produce of our farm to support our sponsored orphans and it also generates some income for the organisation. As young people the farm need us because we are strong and able and Beakanyang is taking the lead. The support we seek is could either be financial, moral or technical example with farming implements or seeds," he said.
The Beakanyang leader noted their motto is "working together for a better life" thus they are calling for support and more partnership.
