NDEA Operation Chief Appears in CourtMonday, April 07, 2008 The Director of Operations of the National Drug Enforcement
Agency (NDEA) was the latest prosecution witness in the case of a Nigerian
national currently under trial at a magistrates' court in Western Region of The
Gambia.
Sunday Amedi was arrested at The Gambia's only international airport in July of 2007 when a narcotic drug officer grew suspicious that he was carrying something illegal with him. Commissioner Ousman Sanneh recently told the Brikama
Magistrates' Court that he was among officers who were present when doctors
were x-raying Sunday at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Earlier, Sanneh told the court that the suspect was arrested
