As the country continues to witness an upward spiral in the rate of auto accidents, the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently imposed various court fines on eight drivers for violating the Highway Code.
The drivers, fined from D3000 to D5000, could serve jail terms ranging from one month to 24 months, depending on the gravity of the offence committed.
The cases were presided over by magistrate Edrisa Mbai.
