We Are Ready To Fight Team Captain Vows

The captain of The Gambia home based team, Alhagie Jobe alias Toldo, has vowed that the mood in the camp is very high and he and his teammates are ready to fight come Saturday 29thMarch 2008 for their encounter against Mauritania.

He revealed this to the Pointsports in an interview at the Paradise Suite hotel were the team is currently in camp.

“We are well prepared for the game as it is the big noise in the camp that we must collect the three points tomorrow by the help of God. We are very optimistic that we will win by the help of God,” he said. He further called on the general public to come out in large numbers to give the team support and assured them that the team are well prepared for the encounter.

Jobe also sends advice to the supporters to maintain discipline, tolerance and patience during the game.

In his remarks in the game, Buba Darboe, a striker, from Armed Forces, said that everybody is ready for this game. He said with the help of God they will deliver. He then promised the fans that come Saturday the team will perform to expectation.

“We like a family in the camp. We always talk about our game and that shows us how prepared we are. We know that the expectation is very high but it is 90 minutes of football and we are really ready go fight.” He further thanked the technical staff for the support and advice they give them. “They are like parents to us. They give us good advice and help us to improve every day,” he said.

Meanwhile the big encounter will kick off on Saturday the 29thof March 2008 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
