Speaking at the occasion, the chairman of Riders for
Health Gambia office, Alhagie Nyangado, said the tools donated will greatly help riders in their day to day work.
Mr. Nyangado commended the donors for the initiatve adding that Antwerp Banjul Challenge has a very good relationship with Riders for Health.
Henry Meerveld, presenting the donated materials on behalf of the donors, said the tools donated were collected from different organisations to assist riders noting that Riders for Health has been doing a lot in the area of transportation in the country especially in the health sector.
For his part, Cherno Jallow, deputy program director with Riders for Health, stated that riders has taken a loan of $3.5 million dollars to purchase 91 vehiclesand 150 motorbikes to support health service delivery. He said that some of the vehicles are due in December and January.
The presentation ceremony was attended by staff of Riders for Health.
