21 Year-old in Need of Financial Assistance for Overseas Treatment

A 21 year-old student, Sainey Badjie, is seeking financial assistance to allow him to travel overseas for medical treatment. According to a medical report, he is suffering from chronic polyuria and polydipsia for the last number of years. As a result he has experienced weight loss and intermittent headaches.

The report further revealed that after a review of the CT scan by the consultant radiologist at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital it was stated that further clarification regarding the mass lesion could only be made with a magnetic resonance imaging machine (MRI). The report also noted that this facility is not available so it is recommended that further investigations be carried out abroad. The report also stated, "it must also be noted that in the event of a confirmed diagnosis the most likely facility for treatment can be obtained in either the Republic of South Africa, The UK, USA, Canada or Australia. Sainey and his parents are therefore appealing to the general public, President Jammeh, philanthropists and NGO's to come to their aid in order to allow the young man to be brought back to full health and continue his schooling.
