Scorpion Move To Camp, Commence Training

As part of preparation for the most awaited encounter between the two neighboring countries the Gambia and Senegal in the joint world and African cup preliminaries round, the senior national team of the Gambia better know as the Scorpions has finally moved to camp and commence training yesterday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, for the most awaited derby encounter slated for the 11thOctober 2008, in Dakar Senegal.

When contacted the head coach of the senior national team Paul Put alias PP said that " we are currently in camp and we have commenced training to get prepared for our game in Dakar". He said that "11 players are in camp and we are expecting the rest to join the team in camp today (yesterday evening)".

Meanwhile Pointsports were reliable informed that Gambia's young versatile left back Pa Saikou Kujabi will not be part of the team due to illness as he is suffering from Malaria.

The Gambian team is expected to leave Banjul for DakarSenegal on the 10thOctober 2008, for their encounter with Senegal which is slated for the 11thof October 2008 in Dakar Senegal.
