In an interview with Pointsports, the chairman of the Nawettan committee in Latriya, Momodou Sallah, said the final will be played between Latriya FC and YUNA. He said that the final between the two teams was suppose to be play earlier than this date but it was due to the Gambian national teams engagements in international competitions that the final was deferred.
Mr. Sallah stated that all the arrangements are in place for the day and it is expected to be graced by the sponsor The Gambia Football Association president Mr. Seedy M.B Kinteh
CDS General Lang Tombong Tamba, first Vice-president of GFA and the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports Sheriff Gomez and other dignitaries are expected to attend.
