Wednesday, October 15, 2008
The case involving Hakeem Subair, who sued MarinaInternationalSchool for terminating his service wrongfully as a teacher, resumed at the Kanifing Industrial Tribunal, presided over by Magistrate Sainabou Wadda- Ceesay on 9thOctober, 2008.

When the case was mentioned, the plaintiff told the court that the case had been dragging since this June. He stated that although his lawyer was not present in court, he would like to proceed on his own. But the Magistrate, who was just taking over the case, adjourned the case.

The plaintiff's claim stated that the defendant should show cause why it had to invite the plaintiff to a dismissal hearing under the Labour Act, section 113 after employing a teacher in the plaintiff's position.

The plaintiff also claimed for damages, breach of contract and loss of earning.
