The National Environment Agency (NEA) Wednesday dragged one Momadou Sailou Jallow to the Municipal Court at the Kanifing Municipal Council for allegedly dumping refuse along the Sayerr Jobe Street in Serrekunda.
According to the charge sheet, on Saturday 26th July 2008, Mr. Jallow deliberately dumped refuse at the front of his workshop, just some ten minutes after the place was cleaned.
The accused was not in court and the case was subsequently adjourned to Tuesday, 4th August 2008 by the presiding magistrate, Mustapha B. Camara.
The offence is punishable by a fine of between D1000 to D30, 000, depending on the gravity.
