Lt. Col. Biran Saine Sacked

africa » gambia » banjul
Monday, March 31, 2008

Lieutenant Colonel Biran Saine, Chief of Staff of Gambia National Guards, has received a discharge from the army, this paper can confirm. Lt. Col. Saine was given the sack on Friday.

Our sources disclosed that the discharge letter dispatched to Lt. Col. Saine did not state any reason for his sacking, which follows that of Lt. Col. Sang Pierre Mendy, former Director of Operations and Training, who got the axe five months ago.
