Kartong Festival Promotes Unity and Understanding" - Cllr JabangMonday, March 31, 2008 The 3rdedition of the Kartong Cultural Festival
concluded recently. The festival brings together people from Kartong, the rest
of The Gambia, the sub-region and a host of visitors from overseas.
Speaking to The Point the Councillor for Kartong Ward, Lamin Jambang Jabang, said the festival means a lot to the village and the nation. He said it promotes partnership and understanding in the village. He pointed
out that the festival also promotes understanding between The Gambia and "I am aware
