Gamcel Donates Sporting Gear to Five Organisations

The National GSM Operator Gamcel, recently donated sporting gear to five organisations at its head office in Kanifing.

The beneficiaries were; Kombo North Red Cross Society, Aids for Orphans and disables, assistant School Projects, United Youths Association of Bakau Newtown and the Sports Committee of Old Yundum Upper Basic School.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony Kebba Bojang, of the Marketing department of Gamcel, said Gamcel would continue to contribute immensely to the development and promotion of sports in the country particularly football.

He pointed out that Gamcel in the past have sponsored the U-17's and U-20's in their campaigns in Peru and Canada respectively.

For her part, Ramou Nyass, a senior officer with Gamcel, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the donated items.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Principal of Old Yundum Upper Basic School Mr. Foday Conteh commended Gamcel for their valuable contribution towards the development of The Gambia.
