ZIBAH Preparatory School, an educational brand graded with academic excellence recently held a Career Day for its pupils at a ceremony held at the school premises in Tallinding.

The ceremony that saw the pupils dressed in their respective aspired career gowns was attended by parents and relatives of the pupils as well as teachers.

They also had the opportunity to hear some inspirational speeches from professionals in different fields such as nursing, teaching, engineering, accountancy, politics and security.

Speaking to this reporter, the headmaster of the school, Mark Obi, said that the event marked the first time in the history of the school and it was organised to give the children a visualised picture of the future.

According to him, they have discovered that many parents struggle in helping their children chose a career, saying that a lot of people find themselves in careers they are not satisfied with.

This, he said, was the reason why they thought it necessary to mould the children at this young age.

Ndey Sumareh, the president of the mother’s club of the school also expressed delight at the initiative, saying that such events would help prepare the children for the future.

For her part, Adepeju Dara, the proprietress of Zibah School, said that the school since its establishment in 1999 has had so many programs but the career day stood out to be the best so far.

She highlighted that such activities in schools are very important because it would make them ask questions regarding their respective desired careers.
