Youth
empowerment and development must be central to the government policies since
they contribute immensely toward the development of the country.
Young
peoples’ participation in national development is fundament because their
efforts would enable the country to attain its development aspirations.
Development challenges would contribute immensely to the policy making process
to design appropriate projects and programs that would enhance socio-economic
advancement.
The
successes registered by Gambia’s young people are clear manifestation that
young people have potentials that would enable them to contribute meaningfully
to the socio-economic development of the country.
Non-Governmental
Organisations (NGO) operating in the country should help government in order to
uplift the welfare of the young, especially the migrant returnees through skill
acquisition, citing satellite installation, mobile repair amongst others.
Government
should strive to improve and empower youth for them to contribute their quota
to the national development. Young people have come up with two action plans to
empower and develop themselves and need government intervention to achieve
those desire objectives in life.
The
youth appealed to the government to support them in order to realize their
development action plans that would enable them to contribute to their quota to
the national development.
Government
must support and empower to youth in the country that would assist them in
achieving their dreams and aspirations in life.
