Youth and Sports ministry ready to support Gambia Judo Association

The minister of Youth and Sports, Alieu K. Jammeh, has expressed his ministry’s willingness to render more support to the Gambia Judo Association after the judo team attained impressive clinching goal, silver and bronze medals in the judo championship hosted in Paris, France.

Minister Jammeh made these remarks at the presentation of medals and trophies to his ministry by the Gambia Judo Association following their brilliant performance in the judo championship in Paris.

The colourful presentation ceremony took place at the Independence Stadium Conference Hall yesterday.

Minister Jammeh revealed that they are proud of the judo team for their brilliant performance in Paris, adding that his ministry is ready to render support to the association in a bid to develop the discipline to higher heights.

Minister Jammeh further revealed that his ministry would make all efforts to give helping hand to develop the Judo.

Minister Jammeh hailed the Gambia Judo Association for their efforts in uplifting judo in the country, saying that sports keeps people healthy.

Minister Jammeh also commended the judo team members for their excellent performance in the judo championship in Paris, saying he was really proud about their performance and his ministry was willing to support the Gambia Judo Association to maintain discipline in the county.
