YEP Africa holds Iftar, discusses Entrepreneurship and Islam

Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) Africa; a youth entrepreneurship and empowerment organisation Thursday organised Iftarr (breakfasting) in observance of the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan at their office at Brikama Nyambai.

During the activity, an erudite Muslim scholar Ustass Alhousain Ceesay was in attendances who lead discussion on entrepreneurship and Islam and the role of young people in community development and Islam.

Yep africa was founded in 2007 to use youth empowerment as a tool for young unemployed people to create their future in their own country.

Ustass Ceesay commended the young people for convening the Iftarr and discussion on the important topics, saying Allah has advised every business men and women to give charity form their profits every year.

The organisation’s finance and administration officer, Momodou S Bah said their aim of organizing the Iftar and discussion on the topic was aimed at creating more willingness in young people towards their religion and to understand the connection between their activities and the Islamic religion.

Programmes officer Lamin F Ceesay said he believes that discussion would yield benefit and changes in the development face of communities whose young people attended the discussions.
