Western Region Derby Today in Zonal Championship

A derby match between two teams from the Western Region of The Gambia, Brikama and Lamin, will take place today at the Serrekunda East Mini stadium.

Both teams, pitted in group B, will make their second appearances today in the Muhammed Yahya Jammeh's Super Nawettan competition.

The derby match is expected to be a tough one as both zonal teams are yet to grab the maximum three points.  Lamin, who had a less than impressive start managed to pick up only a single point in their opening game against Banjul and might be looking forward to wining their first game today.

Fellow Westerners Brikama are currently  at the bottom of the group without a  single point after failing to win their  match against Serrekunda East, who came from behind to secure a 2-1 win at  home

A win today will boost both teams chances of making it to the semi-finals  before  meeting their last opponents of the group matches.
