Wallidan Football club has regained
promotion to the country’s top flight after thumping Latrikunda United 2-0 in
the week twenty-five fixture of the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation second
division league played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Friday.
The blue boys who spent two seasons in the country’s second tier after their dismal campaign in the top flight two seasons ago, secured promotion back into the first division after gathering maximum points against the Latrikunda-based football club.
The country’s most decorated football club will be playing their trade in the top tier next season after regaining promotion over the weekend.
BK Milan secured promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history after beating Immigration 1-0 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Bakau-based football club joined Wallidan in the country’s top flight after bagging vital three points against security outfit Immigration.
Samger and PSV Wellingara also gained promotion to the first division after their winning their twenty-five matches to joined Wallidan and BK Milan in the country’s premier league.
