club Vejle Boldklub has sent Gambian teenager Foday Manneh on loan to the
Finnish Premiere League side HIFK Fotboll until the end of June 2019 in search
of better playing time.
The 19-year-old Manneh came to Vejle in September from Real de Banjul and performed for the club’s U19 team where he played a few reserve team matches.
The former Real de Banjul attacker has been let to Finnish HIFK Football, where he hope to get a playing time in the Finnish premier league.
Jacob Krüger, technical manager at Vejle Boldklub said since Foday joined the club, he has trained and played matches with their U19 league club, where he performed well and scored several goals. “Foday was a part of the team that took many points and consolidated in the best half in the fall. The goal of the rental stay in Finland is that he gets senior experience and is best equipped to return to VB.”
Manneh is expected to feature today (Monday) for his new club when they (HIFK Fotboll) take on Lahti FC at the Telia 5G -arena stadium in Helsinki.
HIFK team is currently on 11th position in the twelfth-team table after losing their first team in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
