Development Foundation (VDF) last Saturday supported the expansion of 1 km main
extension water supply project to Sinchu Alagie in Kombo North District.
Alkalo Salifu Ceesay thanked the organisation for the support, saying that they have not been accessing clean water.
Sinchu Alagie ward Councilor Fatou Jallow said in the past few years, women have faced challenges, including lack of good road and clean water, saying a women even died in labour before she could not reach the hospital due to bad road network.
Project coordinator and secretary of Sinchu Alagie East Development Committee Eliman Jobe said they are grateful to VDF.
Brikama Area Council chairman Sheriffo Sonko commended Turo Darboe and his Organisation’s for their efforts in trying to alleviate poverty in the country over the years, by addressing the needs of communities in various sectors.
Modou Turo Darboe, chairman and CEO of VDF said his Foundation is currently sponsoring 378 students at various levels of education, saying there is no part of the country where their intervention has not reached. “We have also supported almost all Government institutions and departments.”
