Upper Nuimi District Noran Tourney Underway

The 2009 Upper Nuimi district Noran football tournament organised by Upper Nuimi district sports committee sponsored by National Assembly Member for Upper Nuimi District, Hon. Mam Cherno Jallow kicked off over weekend at Kabakoto Football Field.

The opening match featured Jurunku and Kabakoto which ended 2-1 in favour of Jurunku and saw brilliant performance in the opening 15 minutes of the game, attracted a large from Upper Nuimi and its surrounding areas.

Jurunku open the scores through striker Saikou Njie in the 65th minute.Ousman Njie extended the lead in the 76th minute dashing Kabakoto hope of coming back to their feet. However Kabakoto did make a spectacular come back and they registered their lone goal in the 84th minute and the game ended 2-1 in favour of Jurunku.

The championship continues this Weekend, on Saturday 21 March, 2009 between Fass Omar Saho and Sami at Jurunku Football Field at 4.30PM, and on Sunday 22 March 2009 Pakau Saloum will battle it with Pakau Njogo at Kabakoto Football Field at 4.30 PM.
