Unicef Country Rep. presents letters of credence to Foreign minister

The Country Representative of Unicef to The Gambia, Ms. Sandra Lattouf, Friday presented Letters of Credence to the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Ousainou Darboe, at his office in Banjul.

Ms. Lattouf held discussions with the Foreign Minister on issues relevant to the well being of children and women. Ms. Lattouf is expected to contribute in a significant manner to the success of cooperation between The Gambia and Unicef in support of children and women.

As head of Unicef, she has the responsibility for Unicef’s activities in The Gambia. She will discharge these functions in close cooperation with the competent national authorities.

The Turkish Ambassador to The Gambia, His Excellency Ismail Sefa Yuceer also held closed-door meeting with the Honourable Minister. Following their meeting, Ambassador Yuceer said his Government is ready to strengthen relations with the Government of The Gambia in various areas of interest to both countries.
