According to reports reaching this medium, no date has been fixed for the said judgment but sources disclosed that the parties are waiting for hearing notices regarding the date for the judgment.

Recall: The two senior officials of the Gambia Armed Forces are charged with desertion contrary to the Gambia Armed Forces Act.

The duo are alleged to have deserted their positions and left the country in January 2017 with former president, Yahya Jammeh to Equatorial Guinea where they had stayed for more than one year without prior approval or pass for their departure.

They were arraigned before the court martial presided over by Advocate Judge Amina Saho Ceesay. The prosecution closed its case after calling its witnesses and the two generals were called upon to open their defence after the court dismissed their no case to answer submission.
