Gambia U-20 national team has started stretching up their muscles for the 2018 WAFU Zone A football tournament set to kick off next month in Liberia.

The Young Scorpions will face Senegal, Mali and Guinea Conakry in group B of the sub-regional football fiesta.

Coach Matarr Mboge and his charges are currently embarking on massive training at the FIFA Goal Project at Old Yundum to make themselves fit enough for the championship.

The Gambia reached the 2015 WAFU Zone A football final hosted in Senegal but were disqualified by WAFU after failing to honour penalty shootout against the host nation in the final.
