After a shaky start, the season is now picking up force for Danish side  OB. Wins against Scottish side Motherwell last Thursday in the UEFA play offs and FC Midtjylland on Monday means Njogu Demba's OB have not lost five games in a row, winning four and drawing one.

Monday's home match was almost a do-or-die game for OB. A defeat would have left OB trailing FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen10 and 11 points respectively, so a win was crucial in order to keep up with the current top two in the league.

OB have also qualified for the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.

The qualification to group stages was secured after a tense and dramatic 1-0 win in Motherwell. OB were 2-1 up after the first leg of the play-offs and came under heavy pressure from the start in Scotland. The Scots missed a penalty opportunity and so OB salvaged an important away win and qualification for the Europa League.

OB was drawn against Stuttgart (Germany), Getafe (Spain) and Young Boys (Switzerland) in Group H, with their first game away to Getafe on September 15th.

OB website said the club now goes into a 12-day international break just 4 points behind second-placed FC Midtjylland, but several players will be reporting for international duty: Rurik Gislason is with Iceland, Espen Ruud with Norway and Gambia's Njogu Demba-Nyrén, among others.

Tijan Jaiteh's SK Brann drew 3-3 with Viking Stavanger to move a single step on 12 and 24th position Monday night. in Norway  The Gambian international who was preparing to come home for the Scorpion's Nations Cup opener did not feature in Monday's game.
