Two Charged on Three Counts

Hadim Taal and Lamin Ceesay last Tuesday appeared before Magistrate B.O. Jobe of the Bundung Magistrates' Court charged with three counts.

According to count (1) the accused persons, on or about 8th November 2008 at Eboe Town jointly broke into a building and thereby committed an offence.

On count 2, on the same day and time, the accused persons unlawfully entered the shop of Ebrima Jallow with intent to commit a felony.

While on count 3, the accused persons on the same day and time assaulted Ebrima Jallow thereby causing him actual bodily harm.

When the charge sheet was read to them only the 1st accused Lamin Ceesay pleaded guilty while the 2nd accused pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned to 17th June, 2009.

The accused persons were granted court bail in the sum of D8000 with one Gambian surety each.
