The Gambia College Students Union have been donated a photocopy machine worth 183, 000 dalasi by Modou Turo Darboe, chief executive officer of Vision Development Foundation (VDF).

President of the Students Union Amadou Jobarteh said Mr. Darboe’s intervention has addressed one of the major challenges affecting the college students in the campus. “College Students have been suffering over the years when it comes to photocopying their handouts. They will be struggling under the sun just to have their documents photocopied.”

He said they have been searching for a philanthropist to come to their aid but to no avail until when they met Mr. Darboe. “When met Mr. Darboe, he also gave us a surprise package of one hundred thousand dalasi and when we invited him to The Gambia College graduation, he again gave us ten brand new computers”

He further commended Mr. Darboe for the good intention and heart he has for the young generation of this country and challenged other philanthropists to emulate him.

Lamin Fatajo, VDF board chairman said the machine was donated to empower the College Students Union to generate more income.
