Trio in Court for Alleged Damage to Property

Three men namely, Ensa Sonko, Lamin Trawally and Mafuge Njie were on Thursday 2nd April2009 arraigned for alleged wilful damage to property.

The case was presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.

According to the particulars of the alleged offence, the trio on 31st February 2009 at Bakau in the KanifingMunicipality unlawfully and wilfully damage the planted crops of Momodou Camara. They pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile, the accused persons were granted bail in sum of D80, 000 with a Gambian surety each with a landed property of that valued and the title deed of which should be deposited with assistant registrar.

When the case resume the presiding Magistrate Mbackeh told the court that the prosecutor handling the case was transferred to Mansakonko and the case file was yet to be assign to another prosecutor.

The case was adjourned to 23april 2009
