Football Federation yesterday unveiled Tom Saintfiet as the new head coach of
the country’s senior national team at the Football House in Kanifing East
The Belgian coach was unveiled after signing a nine month contract with the country’s football authorities recently to guide the gallant Scorpions in their upcoming international outings.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, GFF president, Lamin Kabba Bajo said the nation signed Saintfiet as the country prepares for their crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria in September.
Bajo revealed that they secured the Belgian tactician’s services in consultation with Ministry of Youth and Sports and national Sports Council.
Bajo applauded ministry of Youth and Sports for their collaboration with GFF for the hiring of the coach for the Scorpions.
Ebou Faye, second-vice president GFF said the new coach will aid in the development of youth football among things.
